Holiday Announcements

Happy Holidays!  We’re excited for our first holiday season in our new storefront.  The central location makes it easy to swing by on your Arcata shopping trip. 

FUNDRAISER

You can support the Transfer Student Organization of Cal Poly Humboldt by stopping by this Thursday and Friday starting at 2 pm  to get your presents wrapped for a donation!  They help students coming to CPH in the middle of their college career become a part of the community. I was a transfer student to HSU (back in the day!) and clubs like this made a big difference in making me feel like I’d come home.

NEW HOURS

We are expanding our regular hours for your shopping and gaming convenience: we are now open 10am to 8pm Tuesday through Saturday and 12 - 5:30 pm on Sundays! These will be our new regular hours- past the shopping season- to accommodate more in-store gaming and events. 

 How are we doing this without losing our minds? 

NEW EMPLOYEE

Allow me to introduce our new employee Karina! I don’t have a picture of her, but she’s the one who doesn’t look anything like Dan or myself so you’ll know her when you see her.  She’ll be here evenings and weekends to help you out.  She has a passion for Magic the Gathering and loves games of all kinds.

While we have started our new hours, we will be closing for a Christmas break from Dec 24th through the 29th.

End 2025 the best way possible– PLAYING GAMES!

   To celebrate the new year and the wonderful community we have here, we will be offering game space and the use of our game library for free all day.   Bring some friends or make some new ones.  As always Dandar’s is a family friendly environment and we ask that you keep that in mind.

 New Years Eve Game Day Extravaganza!

From 12 noon to 1 am

At midnight we will toast in the new year (with non-alcoholic cider) and then wrap up any games in progress.
