2nd Saturdays 10am-6pm: Paint Day! In-store miniature painting event. We provide paints, tools, and miniatures, or bring your own. Paint with old friends and make some new ones.
3rd Saturdays: 5pm-9:30pm Dandar’s Hosted Game Night at Round Table Pizza, Arcata. We’re setting up our game library and will be concierge and coach. Learn a new game or play an old favorite. If you get hungry, Round Table is extending their lunch specials during game night!

In-store event.
Come meet your fellow adventurers and talk all things RPG. Make plans to start a campaign at one of our Community Game Nights. Have a generally socially pleasant time. Snacks and conversation starters provided.
Before the TTRPG Social event, Dar will walk you through creating a character in DnD 5e. We’ll talk about “session zero”, different play styles, and whatever else comes up. This will be very informal and introductory. We’ll provide what you need to make a character, and you can take the filled-out character sheet with you.

The two-county wide festival will feature Film Commission sponsored events (i.e. free screenings of the movie, Return Of The Jedi) as well as activities by participating local businesses, pop-ups, community partners, and more.
Creative minds all around the North Coast are invited to join in the fun, and will become participating destinations on our Promotional Festival Map, Event Calendar, and Other Marketing Collateral.

Goth Day is a world-wide event that celebrates Goth music, art, fashion and culture; from Victorian to Visi-goth, from Dark Wave to CottageCore. We're holding it down at The Old Steeple, a Gothic architecture-styled church-turned-music-venue, located right next door to the beautiful and historical Ferndale Cemetary.

Then visit the other participating bookstores to get a stamp! (No purchase required.) When all of the bookstores have added their mark, redeem your passport at any one for a raffle ticket! Easy and fun!
“But Dar,” you say “Dandar’s won’t be open that day. What ever will we do?” Good observation, and don’t worry! Our spot won’t need a mark in order for the passport to be redeemable. Also, we will start handing out passports during the week before IBD.
We will be vending at Earth Day Celebration in Pierson Park, McKinleyville from 3-8pm.
